• Conduct tree surveys, Form 1 and Form 2 inspections, detailed Tree Risk Assessments (TRA), and health/structural evaluations.

• Review and endorse technical documentation, including tree survey reports, Form 1/2 records, tree preservation plans, and complaint case reports.

• Oversee and manage multiple arboriculture-related contracts, liaising with government departments, clients, and site teams.

• Provide expert advice on tree risk mitigation, preservation, emergency tree handling, and handle ad-hoc technical tasks.

1. Academic Qualifications:

• Recognized Bachelor’s Degree or above in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Natural Science, Agriculture, Botany, Forestry, Vegetation, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Management, or related field (equivalent to HKQF Level 5 or above).

2. Professional Registration & Qualifications:

• Registered Arborist AND Registered Tree Risk Assessor under the Registration Scheme for Tree Management Personnel (RSTMP) of the Development Bureau (DEVB).

• Recognized arboriculture certification awarded by a professional institution (e.g., ISA Certified Arborist or equivalent).

• Passed recognized TRA training courses (e.g., ISA TRAQ, Lantra Awards PTI, or DEVB TMO TRA & Management Course).

• Completed relevant training in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) relating to tree operations.

3. Experience Requirements:

Senior Arborist:

Requires a minimum of 7 years of practical experience in tree works, including at least 4 cumulative years of post-qualification TRA experience within the immediate past 5 years.

Arborist:

Requires a minimum of 7 years of practical experience in tree works, including at least 3 cumulative years of post-qualification TRA experience within the immediate past 5 years.

Note: Candidates with less experience will be considered for the role of Assistant Arborist.
